Sermons

Our pastor, Scott, is our regular preacher, and he usually preaches expository sermons. An expository sermon teaches the main point of the examined Scripture portion. He also sometimes preaches on topical issues of spiritual or cultural significance. (For example, we have a sermon series on prayer.)

Scott has done many verse-by-verse expositional sermons, such as the series from Psalms, but he doesn’t always preach this way. He also likes to choose a specific passage and use the main point of that passage as the main point of the sermon. For example, he has preached a long-term series on every book of the Bible—where each message presents the overall point of that particular book, with selected passages to demonstrate the theme.

The best way to learn about Scott’s preaching is to listen to one of the sermons.
